Hello everyone. I joined this forum hoping that there maybe some people in here who have experienced a particular symptom I am having with DDD that can help me. I am 42 year old male with fairly constant lower back pain possibly due to a motorcycle injury 15 years ago. I did have an MRI 6 years ago that showed a protruding disc in my lower back. I am sure many in here are the same as me and struggle with lower back pain on a daily basis. However in the past year I have now gone through 3 episodes where I get an extreme sense of pressure on my tail bone. It feels like someone has a vice grip on my tailbone and there gripping it has tight as they can. I can't seem to find any exercise or stretch that can get me out of it. It almost feels like my tailbone is going to shatter there's so much pressure. This results in all the muscles in my lower back tensing up and about 45 min later I hunch up like a hunch back completely unable to stand up straight or walk correctly FOR DAYS!!! Trying to walk around at all is very uncomfortable and I can only do it for a few minutes at a time before I have to rest. My doctor has had insane amounts of blood work done as well as x-rays and bone scans to confirm that I don't have cancer anywhere. My mom has 2 auto immune disease's so he also sent me to a neurologist who told me I'm a 40 year old with a 70 year old back and I should quit my day job. My family doctor says the same thing like it's an option!! It's not. I've asked him for another MRI to see what's going on in my lower back and he refuses. Live with it there's nothing you can do. If I knew exactly what was causing this and what it was perhaps I could find some kind of treatment or remedy to stop it from being this bad. I can't afford the time off work. This morning I couldn't even stand, I had to crawl on my hands and knees up to the bathroom. Slept a couple more hours and was a bit better when I woke up again, I could stand on my legs and walk around again. I'm starting physio again next week and even though my doctor doesn't seem to want to do anything for me I'm going to make an appointment and ask him if there's not some kind of back specialist he can send me to. But how can you treat something when no one seems to know what the root cause is? If anyone here has experienced this side effect and knows what it is and what's causing it I would greatly appreciate your knowledge. Also open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance for your comments and help.
