  • From my personal exp Sounds like you have a herniated disc. You need to have an MRI scan and see a back specialist.

    I would stay away from a chiropractor for now until MRI scan results show.

    When you have an quick onset of pain, basically acute many times it can be muscular in nature. Especially since it sounds as if you are continuing to play through this. A muscular problem or pinched nerve can be very painful and last for months. When you said sharp pain, and it is aggravated when you sprint that also tells me to look at it as a potential muscular or nerve problem. Normally disc related problems are going to be more dull in pain and be there all the time
