Confused About Diagnosis

Hello, I'm 20 years old and was diagnosed with mild cervical radioculopathy and spondylosis a few months ago. I've been suffering from this for a few years and it's not letting up. My MRI showed a herniation on one of my cervical vertebrae and I also have mild kyphosis. I took an EMG test a month ago and my nerves appear to be fine. I was initially diagnosed with cervical spondylosis, but my orthopedist isn't sure anymore. It's making me frustrated because I have chronic pain and they don't know what's causing it. It could be muscular, but it's up in the air. I'm getting cortisone shots in April. Thanks.

  • It’s frustrating. Hang in there. Unfortunately it can sometimes take time to get a proper diagnosis.

Maybe consider a second opinion from a neurologist and/or neurosurgeon.

Good luck. Please keep us posted.
