Has anyone undergone this for their neck?

  • angela- I get massage therapy on all problematic areas like the whole back including the neck. It helps me alot and helps with the headaches from the neck and shoulder pain. I do feel a little sleepy afterward and sometimes sore but in a good way. My massage therapist always recommends a bath afterward in epsom salts to remove the lactic acid that is released during the massage... :) jade

    Angela,

I've been having Deep Tissue Massage therapy for almost two years now. It has been focused in on my thoracic area so it is a very aggressive massage.
There have been times when my neck was hurting and I've had DTM in the cervical area. Even with my C5/C6 and C6/C7 Fused and Metal, aggressive DTM can be done there, but only by trained professionals.

  • I hope between the two of them and the muscle relaxers (which are working 50/50 at this point) I'll get some kind of relief. My doc said if not, we have to go back to the drawing board. Unsure what that means though.
