Is it just me

I had a multi level spinal neck fusion surgery October 24, 2018. I was doing good until the choking feeling came in the picture, trouble breathing, and sometimes eating. I have to take muscle relaxants to help with the choking neck pressure and now it's starting to not even work. My breathing has been messed up really bad since the day before Thanksgiving! Are there any suggestions or recommendations? TIA!

TeddieGal - Have you consulted an ENT specialist?  Months after my second ACDF, I developed swallowing issues.  I couldn't anything or drink water.

I ended up in the hospital to get me IV hydrated with IV steroids.  I had swallowing tests performed.  With the IV steroids, I was finally able to get pureed foods down.  I was also instructed to use a "thickener" when drinking water.  The cause of my swallowing issues was an osteophyte that had grown below my C3/C4 fusion.  I lived with it until my third ACDF, when the neurosurgeon removed the osteophyte as part of that surgery.

If I were in your shoes, I'd try to see an ENT, ASAP.
