RFA question

My pain management Dr. told me to read information on a RFA and to 

let him know next visit, I have DDD in C6&7, has anyone had this done and did 

it help?

  • First the Dr. does a test with a facet joint injection to see if there's temporary relief lasting a few hours and he gives you a pain sheet to keep track of every hour every 6 hours then week or two. Then you will bring your pain paper in and he will see if it helped and if so will give you risks and benefits to the RFA.,

    I had lower back done and have to get it repeated every year or 2 years to keep the pain at bay. I still have to use pain meds but for me it's been helpful. I get mine done at a hospital under live xray and given IV pain meds and conscious sedation during the RFA. 

    Check the search on top for more info and videos from Spine Health under RFA. I've done a few posts over the years including some photos of my lower back. first time I got bruising. Well take it easy and hope it works for you! Charry
