11 Days Post OP from PCF w/Instrumentation C2-C6 Question on Head movement

Hello--

Pain is getting much better if I don't stand or walk too much. Pain in shouldrers radiate down my arms  I'm taking short trips up and down stairs with my hubby guidance.  Bathroom breaks on my own.  I catch myself turning my head, and twisting...following the BLT routine can be hard to remember.  Does anyone remember how long it was until you got the OK to turn your head? i forget and am afraid I'm doing damage.  my collar is on 24/7 and I have a collar to wear in the shower too..  not looking for medical advice, just  similar situations?

  • I would think that if you are in a collar 24/7 that it is designed to restrict any unwanted head movement, it is impossible to not move somewhat, I think I would call my surgeons office on Monday and talk to the nurse to clarify if you are worried about it, better safe than sorry.
