SCS stimulation when turned off

I have had my SCS for a month. Yesterday I was using a setting on about medium strength most of the day. I turned it off when I went to sleep, but woke up about 30 minutes later feeling uncomfortable because I was feeling the same medium strength stimulation that I was using earlier in the day. Walking around made it go away. I went back to sleep (SCS still off). I woke up an hour later feeling the same thing. This happened three more times throughout the night.

I was told it is normal to have some residual stimulation when it is off, but for it to come and go at the same exact strength?

Has anyone experienced this issue?

  • I had it happen to me for a little while after my SCS implant. It should go away as you heal and everything gets scarred in. Hope this helps.
