Kyphoplasty on old fracture

I recently read a study that said there have been a few successful kyphoplasty procedures on older (chronic) fractures. Has anyone personally had this procedure on an old fracture?

I have an old one at t6 that is still causing considerable amounts of pain with little relief after medication, physical therapy, etc. It was from trauma, not osteoporosis related.

I feel ridiculous that something this small could be causing me such debilitating pain at times.
