18 Year Old with Ongoing L4, L5 Bulging Disc ongoing pain

I have an 18 year old daughter who has been suffering from left side low back pain and hip pain down her leg for a year and a half now. We’ve gone through physical therapy, dry needling, trigger point injections, and epidural injections on three occasions. Due to her age, we’re told surgery isn’t an option. Now what?

  • Welcome tammyantill we’re glad you’re here!

I am sorry your daughter is dealing with this, 18 is way too young for it, you didn't mention what kind of doctors she has seen, if she hasn't already done so, a spine specialist, neurosurgeon or orthopedic should be the next stop, a second or third opinion is also never a bad idea.
