Muscular weakness (mainly back) after Herniated Disc - can it be fixed?

Hi, I had a herniated cervical disc (HCD) in 2016. I have been left with muscle weakness in my latisimus dorsi, some parts of my shoulder and arm (all on the same side). No pain but very frustrating, affects my sports etc. My consultant warned me that the nerve damage from the HCD might never repair and so it seems. Can anything be done? Does anybody know any surgery that could fix the weakness? All ideas appreciated.

  • Welcome wansuntroad we’re glad you’re here!

I have some of the same issues that didn't go away after surgeries, numbness and weakness, my surgeon says that if it hasn't come back after 1-2 years it probably never will.
