numbness loss of bladder retention

hi , this is my 3rd month after roll over accident  that crushed 5 of my lower back vertebrae  my surgeon  fused the top and bottom 2  and I have rods and screws . Been numb in my buttocks and groin cant pee on my own . My question is will this change or is this my new life ? Any help or advise would be welcome!
