Strange saddle sensations (previous CES)

Hi everyone,

I am having a fusion next week L4-S1. I had CES a few years ago and had a laminectomy/discectomy to address the ruptured discs and stenosis. I didn't experience loss of bowel control again after the surgery, but I have noticed over the last year when I sit in certain ways or things press on my back I get that same tingling and numbing sensation in my saddle area along with a pressure/hot sensation around the piriformis area. I mentioned it to the surgeon at my last visit with him (discussing the surgery more) but he said that based on the imaging he doesn't believe it would be causing CES again. I don't think that this tingling has happened the entire time since the previous surgery (but maybe it has and I'm just really noticing it now). Have any of you experienced this, with or without prior CES?
