Sciatic Pain Terrible After Microdiscectomy

I had a microdiscectomy done 2 months ago and about 2 weeks in, my pain started to increase. I'm relatively young. My pain is very severe running from my low back to my foot. So bad I can't sleep. I'm writing this now because I can't sleep. I thought about going to the ER, the pain is that horrible. I start physical therapy tomorrow and my doctor said if that doesn't help, we need to take more MRIs.

I have a feeling it will make me feel worse. Anyone else gone through something similar? Any suggestions for pain management? I only use ice packs for now. I'm worried because I go back to work in 2 weeks and it's a sitting all day job which I can't do.

That's ok! Let's keep all future replies and posting to the previous one. That way it all stays in one thread.
    I am closing this one.

    Thanks,
