Touching your toes - post lumbar fusion

  • I forgot about that - the exercises lying on our backs take much more stress off our spine. Thanks Calli_sue

I'm defo not doing the bending again...not for a while. I have been really flared up since.
  • My pt told me post surgery, that I would probably never be able to touch my toes. He was RIGHT. He also told me that I would never be able to lift or move more than 25 lbs.,for ever, the rest of my life. If I had known this I may not have had the surgery. Im 54 years old, lifted weights for the last 8 to 9 years. My max weight was 335 lbs bench press. Now, today, I can't even go to the gym.

Does anyone else have this problem, or been told the same as I was told?
