Hi All,

I know I am new here, but this is a great place to get info about surgery, as well as to talk to people that are going through the same things you are. I am going in on June 17th for 360 fusion of L4-S1. Well I was worried about being cut in front and back. Well when I went to my family DR, for clearance for surgery, I found out he was only doing it through my back.

This was good news, I know I will heal better and faster this way. I am nervous about it but I feel comfortable about doing it. I was very comfortable when I my Total knee done and it went well. I have gotten a lot of info from people here that have had this done. Thank you for that, it helped me in knowing what is going to happen when I have this surgery done.

I will keep you informed after the surgery to let you know how it went.

Again, Thank you
for all the info....

  • Hi Deb - I was just supposed to have surgery through my back too. It ended up they couldn't get the damaged discs out that way because of too much scar tissue, so I had to have another surgery through the front four days later. I hope the same doesn't happen to you and you can just go with the surgery through the back.
