Have had low back pain that radiated down right leg for more than 4 years. Iam not over weight, do not smoke or drink, and participate in Yoga exercises daily to help strengthen my back and stomach muscles. My first facet injections lasted more than 3 years. Last January, I was using a power tool and the pain with leg involvment started again, but with greater intensity. I had a second set of facet injections with little relief. Saw a chiopractor, which really caused other problems- hand cramping. Third set of facet injections was not effective. I am scheduled for a Micodisectomy on June 11. Will give an update in 4-6 weeks. Pk.

  • It'll be over before you know it and the first week will be a little rough, but after that, you should feel a better, little by little.

Let us know how you are doing when you get a chance.

    :)
  • It's amazing with these discs.
One moment, you can be lifting a massive object and be ok, then bend over to pick up a paperclip and Wham!
Some people will be in bed sleeping and the disc lets go.

What level(s) are you dealing with?

Anyways, good luck and let us know how it goes.

  • When you're young (and immortal, LOL) ya just don't realize the possible horror lurking around the corner. Our bodies are much more fragile then we ever think. I tell everyone I know to take care of their backs now. It's no fun. :(
  • I am almost 11 weeks out from my 2nd micro. and doing great. Just take it easy (literally).

I am so glad that I had a solution for the god-awful pain.
