My son ever since I can remember has wanted to be a firefighter. What kid didnt? My son was 10 years old when 911 happened and it sparked something in him. He wanted to do something to help. He felt sad for all the decisions the president had to make,so he wrote him a letter. To our surprise 2 gentlemen in suits appeared at our home with a letter from the president. That letter hangs on his wall today. He became an exployer for our local department and carried the passion in him as he became a man. I am proud to say as of Thursday I am a mother of a full time firefighter. He also is in schooling to receive his paramedics license. As a parent I could not be more proud!!

    Hi Susan

No wonder you are so proud of your son, you have every right to be.

I wish him well in his chosen career, he has to be admired.
    Well done!

  • That's so wonderful Susan. Firefighting is an honorable profession, a brotherhood. My youngest was thinking of getting into the profession, but now with the paramedic requirements, and his dislike of blood,

Hope you're having a great weekend.
