I am in so much discomfort & pain. The good news is that I can't imagine my pain & discomfort getting any worse. I had PT today (it sucked). I see the optomologist tomorrow morning and then back to PCP.

There is no position that relieves my pain.

Hands are on fire, neck pain, back of the head pain, and eye pain.

I am so utterly through with this.

  • yup i'm the same way.all the problems i had with my neck i never had headaches before my surgery but after the accident i started getting bad ones and i think i have one almost every day now.for the passed year i've only slept three or four hours a night because my hips and back and neck hurt so much.I have a very hard time trying to find a position were i can sleep more then an hour in.Hang in there and hopefully it will get better for you.
  • This is what has been causing my eye pain. I am waiting for the appointment for the lazer treatment and then my eyes will not hurt.

I don't have migraine. The pain at the base of my head is from my neck. I never would have imagined that I had glaucoma. My grandmother had it but she was the only one.

Once I hit 40 things started running down hill. What's next?

Time for a norco and a flexerile.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time right now. I know how discouraging and aggravating pain can be. I hope that you get to feeling better real soon. Hey, when I turned 40 (three years ago) I started falling apart too. It could be so much worse though. Hope you have good luck at the pcp. I'm glad you can have the laser eye surgery. Take care and feel better.

  • Sunny I have to wonder how awesome I will feel when I hit 50? I am 42 now. I have been fighting back pain since 1999 I think.

Anyhow- PT is cancelled until this is resolved and the NS nurse said I have to get this taken care of before surgery. Yes- she actually called me. She said it has nothing to do with my neck. She said it is a medical emergency- you could go blind. Great! I am suppose to take it easy till my appt Monday.

I wonder if she feels the least bit bad when she told me I had a sinus infection a few weeks back on the phone? Really bad information. She should have said you better go see you PCP and get it checked out. Then I would have gone in earlier.

    Coulda shoulda woulda....

  • I had to see my PCP again today. I am having a MRI with and with out contrast of my brain and upper cervical just to look into other possiblities of eye pain and such next Tueday morning. I see the glaucoma specialist Monday.

I am thinking about taking the week off. I have about a week of vacation before the end of the year than I can use. I had wanted to save it for my surgery that never happened. I get 2 more weeks after Jan 1st so I may as well use it right?

I am a bit freaked out about this eye /brain thing. I am hoping it is a clear cut case of simple glaucoma or my neck muscle spasms are so bad that they are causing some problems with my head.

Still have the original complaints of hand/arm/shoulder/neck- pain/numbness etc.....
