  • Heredity, ahh such a nice thing! I hear ya there. I haven't matched much of my family stuff. Hummm.. maybe I was adopted! Nope. (G) Bummer that it goes through the family. Have any of them found 'ways' to slow things down, or are they just living life and seeing what happens?

As for hot flashes... I lost half of my girlie parts due to a tumor in 2002, and due to that, it kicked me into Perimenopause. The hot flashes for that are finally backing down. But between 2002 and about 6 months ago it was horrible! Now with that said, during some of my recoveries even those hot flashes were different! I'm not sure if it is because of all the chemicals working out of us from surgery, or a natural way the body is responding to the trauma of the surgery?

Heavy duty pain can induce them too - female *or* male! That is why I think it is a defense the body puts out. Surgery is trauma, and as such I think that could be why you have them now. I hope they back off. I hated waking up soaking wet! Eating certain foods for me kicked some flashes to high gear! That was the Peri though, not spasm ones - I think. *HUG*
