Just wanted to say I am feeling down in the dumps big time. After 4 years of battling chronic back pain, I was finally set to have surgery Oct. 17 th when my insurance denied my fusion. Everything was set and I was finally having some hope, my husband took off work, I had after care set up, my relatives booked rooms near the hospital etc.. And I finally was getting used to the idea that there was finally surgery and maybe some relief. Now I have to go through this big appeal process and I don't know what is going to happen. My surgeon is going to talk to them tomorrow. I feel like after all this I am back to square one, and my life is on hold and I am living in limbo.before it's mentioned I am on Cymbalta for severe nerve pain in both legs which also has helped with depression. I am just so frustrated. My doctor is going to appeal but don't know if I should call them also or what. I can't exercise because it causes pain, can't work, my kids are grown and my life is feeling really useless at this point. I can't even barely go shopping. I went to the store Sunday and was looking around for about 20 minutes and the pain was so severe in my back, then both legs started shocks down to my knees and one leg buckled. I had to immediately go to the car and my daughter had to check out for me. What are these insurance companies crazy or what?. Am I just supposed to live without being able to barely function for the rest of my life just taking stronger and stronger pain pills, while the nerves in my legs get so bad that I cannot walk at all?..Sorry just had to vent and talk to someone because no one understands what I am going through! If you read this thanks for listening!,
