Hi everyone - newbie here

I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 32 and live in Virginia and have been having back pain for as long as I can remember. I always remember throwing my back out so to speak but back in October I started having the tingling/soreness down the legs. I saw my primary care who said it was just sciaticia and gave me an Rx for vicodin.

Since it didn't go away I went to an orthopeadic surgeon. MRI showed a herniated disc and spinal stenosis (L4,L5 - S1). He said it's bad enough to do surgery right away but I'm trying everything else first.

I've done a steriod pack which didn't work, I just finished shot 2 of 3 for an epidural injection (my last is in 2 weeks) and starting rehab. I've gotten 2 other opinions who said surgery really is the only option because of how bad it is.

I'm just trying to hold off until it gets colder out (an avoidance tactic I'm sure!!).
