Great appointment with primary care

Went to see my PCP today and she started right off the bat with a referral to see a neurosurgeon, she said that as soon as she saw me walk in she felt my limited range of motion was significant enough that obviously my orthopedic and pain management care was not doing enough. "You're too young to be so disabled, let's take care of this." she said.

She switched my muscle relaxer from flexeril to soma, upped my cymbalta to 120mg from 60mg, and added xanax to help me sleep.

I was prepared to push for a neurosurgeon referral and I didn't even have to ask! I was so happy. Finally seems like something is going in the right direction!

  • Eaduby: so pleased for you. It's been tough so far. Maybe she also saw that you had a gleam in your eye and thought, better stop pussy footing around! Hehe
  • Haha whatever works right? Even though there's not an end to the pain in sight yet there is a huge mood improvement knowing a big move in the right direction has been made. I have some actual hope again.
