Pain switches sides when standing/sitting

I have mild disc bulging at c4/c5 and c6/c7. I get pain all through out my left side - my traps and rhomboid area, sometimes going into my delts and rotator cuff muscles. It is worst when standing. The weird thing is if I sit down in my desk chair at my computer, the pain completely switches sides. The exact same symptoms appear on my right side and disappear on my left side. I've tried numerous things and seen numerous doctors - nobody has really helped yet. Any ideas?

  • You know mine began with right ARM pain..then switched to left. Since my job intitles me to speak with depressed people ,that is one of the symptoms...pain that wonders. Although this is not what We have...when I told my boss about my pain switching sides....well she said ,"hummm...moving around on you." I knew what she was thinking. She Pretty well thinks I am nuts. I choose not tell her anything again. I would say it is the position you are in at the desk. My lips start tingling when I walk, but stop when I sit down. Go figure.
