3 1/2 years of sciatica ...

Hi! My name is Nikk, I'm 29 yeara old d I'm from Milwaukee, Wisconsin...

I've been in miserable pain from sciatica for almost 3 1/2 years. From burning, numbness, and shooting pain down my right leg. I just cannot take this anymore. I had a cortizone shot about 2 years ago with relief for not even a month. I do the ice deal, I take Ibprofen. The saddest part is that I have no health insurance. I am desperately seeking to have surgery to relieve the nerve. Even as I type this, I feel tingling numbness down my leg. I hope to have insurance with recent government changes (If I can even afford it!). Is there anyone from Milwaukee that can let me know what insurance they have that covers this surgery?

I'm at the end of my rope with this... I'd kill to have relief :/

Any helpful tips, support, or any sort of direction to point me to the right way is much appreciated!

  • Hi Cheesehead!
Check out the new ACA insurance exchanges WITH tax credits and hopefuly you will have insurance by January, 2014. I hear of good coverage and affordable rates. You want it for the medical costs ahead will be astronomical. I've had surgery (with insurance) but, due to surgery complications, I've now got sciatica pain. Get a good, very experienced doc. Good luck.
