Short story I guess..
The last month and a half, every day I have been having tingling sensations in my arms, and legs... pin prick sensations all over my body and "cold raindrop sensations" all over body as well. These symptoms are happening everyday, every few mins sometimes, and is really worrying me. So much, I decided to take it into my own hands (after being put into a 3 month waiting line to see a neurologist) to pay for my own MRI's as I believed I had MS.
Now, all my blood tests, sugar tests were normal. No autoimmune disease either. My Brain MRI was fine, as was my cervical MRI (For MS) Though my Cervical MRI did show the following -
(this is a complete print out, word for word)
The Cerebellar tonsils lie well above the Capacious foramen magnum. The Brainstem and cervical cord signal are within normal limits and no evidence of signal Abnormality. There is at the c6-7 level in a foraminal position with modest narrowing of the neural foramen on the right but no definite impingement. There is a minor increased T2 and inversion recovery signal related to the disc annulus in the central/paracentral position consistent with annulus tear. At the remainder of the intervertebral levels in the cervical spine, there is no focal disk herniation or protrusion. There is no central or neural foraminal stenosis. There is no evidence for nerve impingement.
C6-7 annulus bulge with annulus tear, possible significant neural foraminal stenosis on the right and impingement of the C7 nerve root.
My GP advised me he highly doubts these findings were the result of my tingling, and basically told me good luck and to see the neurologist. I am going insane with trying to understand that the cervical findings mean, can i keep playing sport? Will I need surgery? Any ideas what is causing the tingling all over my body?
