Hi Everyone,

I was scared to death going into an 11 hour surgery and reading the horror stories from several people online about their post-op experience. I am now pot op day 4 and all I can say is I wish I had done this a lot sooner.
Yes, it is painful BUT nothing like I expected. I can not emphasize enough how important it is for you to walk as much as possible. I walked 45 minutes after being brought to my room and have done so several times per day. It sounds like I am getting out of the hospital today (2 days earlier than the surgeon originally planned). I know that I will have a new stet of challenges waiting for me when I get home but as I said, I should have done this much sooner. Most,if not all, of you are already in a lot of pain and I promise you the surgery is a tough one BUT the post-op surgery pain will end. The pain you are living with now will not end unless you get it fixed. MOVE as much as possible and listen to your surgeon and you have better chances too have a great outcome.

I will keep you posted on my progress.
