Cat-Cow strech question - what causes it to hurt

I recently hurt my back by lifting too much weight in my arms I when I do the "Cat Cow" or I think it is also called the "Angry Cat" stretch where you are on the floor with your hands and knees and arch your back up and down - I was wondering why do I feel pain when I arch downward to the floor with my stomach?

How long does it take before the soreness/pain to go away when doing that strech the PT person recommended. I'm not sure what type of back injury I have, but if there are any suggestions on how to speed the healing, let me know.

there is nobody medically qualified to advice you on this, if you think you have injured your back you need to see a doctor for a diagnosis and treatment options?
