Hello
So i have been suffering from severe back pain ( upper and lower), the pain sometimes is unbearable where i have to lie down. i have been suffering from this back pain for quite a long time now, maybe since from the age of 15/16, i cant remember exactly.
i am 5'5 and 60 kg.
my family has no history of back related problems.
i mean, if i am out and walking around my back starts to ache and it just ruins the whole day and even when i am not walking around but just sat down my the pain creeps in. its like this everyday- it sucks
i tend to crack my back because the pain is unbearable, and when i do crack my back it feels nice but i guess it worsens my condition. and nowadays even when i am sleeping, my back hurts - wow its soo annoyingly painful and i am quite worried.
please if you any of you have any suggestions please do so.
Thank you

  • Just wondering if you get chest pains as well as sharp upper/middle back pain. If I wake up in the EARLY morning, It is MUCH worse, hard to breathe and I even feel like a stick almost. lol I shouldn't be laughing, it is the worst pain. I thought I had a gallbladder problem the pain hurt so bad. Everywhere. I have had an xray, and had my doctors look when all this started. "nothing is wrong" they said. But then why is the pain there? Im not over weight, I actually lost 80 pounds. You'd think the extra weight gone, my back wouldn't hurt anymore.. Just sitting here, typing on the computer im wanting to cry. I crack my back (by turning side to side) probably 10-30 times a day to release what I call the bubbles lol. And I have my sister, or boyfriend step on my back once or twice a day. When I wake, and when I go to sleep. Waking up sucks, hurts getting out of bed, and I have tried different beds. I do not take advil, or any pain meds. I just hate feeling out of breathe and having chest pains along with spine upper back pains. Im young, going to be 20 soon. Why do I feel like im 80?

Hi. I would say that you need to see a specialist doctor first.

Then depending on his advice take it from there. Back pain has lots of factors so without a proper diagnose it wouldn't be wise to venture in any kind of traditional treatment methods. Take care.

    thank you
yes i should go (i dont know why i havent been to the doctors till now) ughh

Omg yes everything is similar to your problems - exxcept i dont get chest pain only lower and upper back pain. but its soo severe and yes i do crack my back like 10-20 times a day (side to side too) and sometime i make my siblings to step on my back to relieve the pain because its soo unbearable and uncomfortable- yes i feel like 80 with the problems i am facing.
also another weird thing is when i breathe in my back just cracks itself. i will go to the doctors
thank you- feels good to know i am not the only one and best wishes to you and hope we both recover before we turn 20 :)
  • I also had this sensation that if someone would just sit or walk on my back... In my case it was likely due to facet joints deteriorating. I once had a chiropractor tell me cracking your back isn't bad, although having someone stand on you could cause you to get bruised ribs at the very least. He did say do NOT crack your own neck. I remember hearing of an NFL player who'd done that and paralyzed himself.

  • I really feel like I want to crack my neck and back but am afraid to. My neck is a hot mess so it might jut fall off. Haha. Is it really that bad?
