I am 8 weeks post op surgery and the pain i had before surgery has not changed. Now the Doctor is saying it could be a pinched nerve in the elbow called the ulnar nerve causing all the pain in the arm and hand and fingers along with the pain under the scapular. Has anyone dealt with this . It has been 5 months from the time I first got hurt. Please help the pain is awful .

First off, you are still early in your recovery from surgery. You had a major spine surgery & it takes time for everything to heal.
Also, I was told that surgery is not a guarantee to take away the pain. Surgery is done to correct the problems in your spine.
I've had 2 neck fusion surgeries & just 2 months ago, I had rotator cuff surgery. Ever since the shoulder surgery, I have had horrible nerve pain in my neck, shoulder, and down to my hand. It's worse in my elbow. I had an EMG done about 6 months ago & my surgeon said everything was fine. When I went back to him about my elbow pain, he stated that my EMG said I have damage in there with my ulnar nerve? But he told me it was unrelated to my neck issues that I'm still having?
My therapist suggested I go back to my shoulder doctor & see what he says. I have an appointment next month.
