I had an L5-S1 in Dec of 2013 that failed. Going in for a revision this Thursday, but the new doc is doing an ALIF (last time it was PLIF).
The PLIF was cake, not having to go through the front, etc. I am scared to death at the point where I want to back out of doing it.
Someone please tell me that this surgery is safe and I will be ok!
I hate the thought of them having to move organs around
and the risks of bleeding from the main artery, etc. I am 43 and in perfect health otherwise.
Thanks to anyone who can shed some light that has gone through this type of surgery.
