Doctor will be out

I just started this pain management on May 5th. Before this I was under the care of my clinic. So far it's night & day in differences.
Here's my dilemma. I asked to make a follow up the 1st day I was seen. He said they'd contact me. So today I went in for the injection & it said on the paperwork to schedule a follow up a week or two out. I called & the next available appointment he has is June 6th. I will be without my meds for 2 days. Not including the 6th. How do I handle this? By the time I realized it, the office was already closed. I've never encountered this before as my previous clinic always had it covered.
Will I make them mad by requesting coverage for the 2 days? I mean they have to know that would be painful, right? They don't mess around. I've already had a UA from being with them less than 2 weeks.

  • The best option would be to call the office Monday and explain that you will be out of meds for two days prior to your upcoming appt., and ask them what you should do.

I agree with Sandi123, call them asap and explain the situation. I'm sure they will understand and take care of it. Sounds like a simple oversight.

    Best :)

  • Thank you both! I called & left them a message today. The lady who answered just wanted to make sure I had enough right now before she put me through so I feel like it will be ok.

Great! Glad it is getting worked out and you don't have to stress :)
  • Thanks again! They called today & have pushed my appointment up so now I'll be seen earlier. Very happy!
