I am 1 month PO  L5/S1 Micro D , just got released to go in the pool . Anyone know of any exercises to do in the pool to strengthen the back and core

    I swim at least 5 days a week and have done so since 4 months post-op.  It has done wonders for my recovery and I really enjoy it. I don't really have any specific exercises in the water other than swimming and I follow this by 10 laps of water walking since the pool I use is a continuous 1.2m deep pool.  If you are not a strong swimmer just try swimming a lap followed by a walking lap and repeat as your experience and strength allows. You can also add a small strap on floaty to your back to make the swimming less strenuous if needed.  Just don't let the little kids make fun of you...
