ellie67 post Op pain

Hello, a question for everyone who's had disc replacment surgery.

I injured my L5-S1 when I was 24, now I'm 49 and had to have surgery. I did my research and found out ADR was my best option. I had my surgery on 8/29/16, I'm home now and have a severe pain in my lower back when I try to get up or sit down, also, if I try to raise my legs while laying down. I'm not a doctor but the pain feels like something is touching my spinel cord and it stops me in my tracks. Has anyone else experienced this?

Can I ask what type of artificial disc you had implanted?  I am researching ADR for L5-S1 myself.  I am not a doctor either :) my guess would be that what you're experiencing is post-op swelling, much like you would with any spinal surgery.  Is this your first surgery?
