Deep stabbing pain after cervical traction

i am constantly in a huge amount of pain in one spot and am looking for some input as to what may be causing it. 4 years ago I went to physical therapy for a rotator cuff problem. They put me on cervical traction each time, it helped a lot. The last time, I felt something pop deep in my back around the very bottom of my right scapula. It felt good, so I didn't think anything of it. The next night, that spot started hurting, a deep stabbing pain. It has continued 4 years, always at least uncomfortable, stabbing usually about a week or two each month.

Ive had an MRI, X-rays, and ultrasound (to check gallbladder) and they all showed nothing. I've tried ice, heat, tens, chiropractor, trigger point injections and the only thing that works is massage. Putting pressure on the muscle stops the pain, but as soon as you let go, the pain is back! My massage therapist said she's never felt anything like it, it felt like a fish flopping around.
