New nerve pain four months after L5-S1 fusion

Hi, I am 49 years old and suffered from back and nerve pain for a couple years before surgery due to spondylolisthesis. I did PT, I had a year of epidural injections, I took Gabapentin for a time. I finally had a minimally invasive fusion on L5-S1 four months ago, back in June. Everything was going fine after surgery and as expected until about two months ago. I started getting sciatic pain and pain in my sacroiliac area, which I had never had before. Pre-surgery I had pain in my hip and down the side of my leg. Every step now is brutal. My doctor got a new MRI and says there's nothing remarkable on it and put me on Lyrica and I'm scheduled to get an epidural injection in a week and a half. I feel like I am right back to where I started. I'm concerned that my doctor isn't more concerned with why I'm in pain. I'm trying to decide if I need to get another doctor at this point. Has anyone else had this problem with new and different pain after a fusion?
Thank you
