Severe pain in my thighs

I had my 2nd scoliosis surgery in 2012. I had my Harrington Rod  removed from a barbaric scoliosis surgery in 1983 where my entire back was fussed. I no longer had a back that arched. Back then they fussed the back straight. Almost 30 year later I was in terrible pain and could barely stand straight. I had a wonderful surgeon that let me know that I was experiencing stenosis from the Harrington rod. He removed the rod, replaced it with pins and rods he also created a natural arch in my lower back. He also repaired a crackhead found in my spine which is located in the upper middle back. My recovery was easy and was back to work by my 3rd week. Two years later I am experiencing severe pain along my outer thigh and the hip where the Joint is.  It's both legs and sometimes I hurt so bad my body and legs feel like I'm curling into a ball. Walking is painful at times and very hard (weak) to straighten my legs or move them to walk. My feet are tingling and they feel cold on the inside but not when I touch them. Heat seems to help and cold weather makes the pain unbearable at times. Does anyone else experience this. And what is it?
